Also submit Musicbainz IDs when availible

All my local files are tagged with MusicBrainz IDs. Yet some recordings submitted to be listened on Listenbrainz, are associated with the wrong recording. That might be an issue with Listenbrainz itself. I don't know.
So here I want to ask if musicbrainz IDs included in local files are submitted to Listenbrainz? And if not, I suggest to do so. 😅

Do you mean to say that Apple Music Sync strips musicbrainz metadata from each track?
Adrian Schönig
fuddl: Yes. Tracks that have a status of "Matched" as the Cloud Status never make it to Apple's servers. Other devices will just play Apple Music's copy of it, which won't have any of your additional meta data. Only those that have a status of "Uploaded" will use your original copy.

Adrian Schönig I suppose that does not apply when syncing via USB?

This was added in update 1.1.1 for macOS and 2.5.1 for iOS. (Though on iOS it'd only kick in if the data made it to the phone, too, e.g., not via Apple Music matching.)

I got to know MusicBrainz Picard today, and prepared Longplay to extract the appropriate data from the metadata and then pass it on when scrobbling. Keep an eye out for it in the next release.

That's cool. How did you tag those files with MusicBrainz IDs? What app did you use? I'll then take a look to read those same tags and submit them to Listenbrainz – currently it's just using artist + album name + track which could indeed lead to mismatches.
Update: All good. I'm having a play with Picard which is great to populate that info.
