Skipping Instrumental Tracks
Frank Steiler
That would definitely be a workaround! Thank you for this. But as instrumental track titles usually end in „(Instrumental)“ a general skip option based on this (or other available metadata) would be nice :)

Frank Steiler, Longplay has a feature to skip songs below a certain rating.
In the settings you can set the "Minimum Song Rating" to, say, 3 stars. Then, if you rate a song with one or two stars, it'll be auto-skipped.
You can rate songs in the Music app, or also in Longplay by long-tapping the track in the track list:
- First swipe left to the show the "Now Playing" view
- Tap the list icon in the bottom list to switch to the track list
- Long tap the track, and then select "Rating"

Adrian Schönig a lot of iTunes albums have bonus tracks and remixes of songs I usually really like and don’t want to rate down, but they also aren’t really part of the album to me and ruin the flow. Almost wish I could separate them out as bundled singles.

Pavan Jagalur: That's a fair call. With the current setup of the app, the most natural thing would be a "ignore track" option which auto-skips them, similar to what you can do with low ranked or explicit tracks right now.
Separating it out as a single is an interesting option, too. That'd work well if/when Longplay supports singles and EPs as a separate medium.
