Volume reseting each time the app is opened

Stuart Grey Is this on iOS or macOS? What version of the OS are you on?
Longplay has no volume controls and uses the system's controls, so I'm struggling to understand what might be causing this.
Stuart Grey
Adrian Schönig sorry, it’s on MacOS (Sequoia 15.6.1)and yes it’s very strange, no other volume issues with any other apps.
Adrian Schönig
Stuart Grey: Thanks. I haven't yet been able to narrow this down or reproduce it unfortunately. Does this happen for every album in your library? Are these Apple Music albums or DRM-free ones where you have the MP3s/FLACs locally?
Stuart Grey
Adrian Schönig This is just using a collection in LP made entirely of Apple Music albums. I did try playing the same album in both Apple Music and LP, and the volume wasn't the same, so there is definitely something there as it should be system-wide like you said.
Adrian Schönig
Stuart Grey: Can you please share the Apple Music link of one album which has that issue? Also, if you can share a screenshot of the Apple Music app's settings' playback page, that could provide a hint. Either here or by mail to words@longplay.app will do. Thanks!
Stuart Grey
Adrian Schönig No problem:
With Apple Music and Longplay open side by side on my mac, the volume in Longplay is noticeably higher than in apple music when I play this album. Listening on AirPods Pro.

Stuart Grey: Ah, great, thanks. Yes, it's noticeable with that album. From my testing, the cuse is the Music app's own volume control which seems to be added on top of the system volume. Longplay doesn't have it's own volume setting and just uses the system volume. So when the Music app's slider is not to the maximum music will play quieter than in Longplay. If you set the Music app's slider to max, then it matches Longplay's volume in my testing. Does that match how it behaves on your end?
If so, then this is expected behaviour at this stage. It could be addressed with an in-app volume slider that behaves similarly as the Music app's. I have this partially implemented but disabled as Apple Music playback ignored it. It's a similar issue to it ignoring in-app AirPlay settings. Apple engineers are aware of that, so I hope a fix will land eventually, so that I can add this.
(This is a great album by the way, thanks for pointing me at it!)
