Adrian Schönig: thank you :)

I have added lots of Shortcuts actions in the latest beta. Feedback would be much appreciated as I’ll have to lock in the behaviour of those actions when the update goes live: https://beta.longplay.app/

Adrian Schönig: working great so far and my usecase is perfectly satisfied by that :)
Question: the search action has a term „listening time“, is this based on longplay data or apple music data?
Would it be feasible to get time/playcount from apple music? Because i am adding albums i have not played and have not used logplay that much, so the data would be inaccurate
Adrian Schönig
Florian Weber: Listening time uses both Longplay data and Apple Music data, so that should work. However, I just discovered a bug where this isn't populated until you open Longplay and do a manually pull to refresh on the album wall. Will fix that.

Making good progress with this. Lots more Shortcuts actions coming in Longplay 2.2.

Working on revising the Shortcuts action currently.
So far on my list is search, queue and collection management, and rating via Shortcut actions.
Now's a great to request specific actions that'd be useful :)

Adrian Schönig: create collection, where the input can be any output from music.app.

Need a way to automate creating collections

We need a way to automate creating collections using the data we have already in Music.app, like genre, album artist and playlists. (Or even year, etc.) I bought early access to the Mac app in the hope of finding an AppleScript dictionary or even a hidden Sqlite database I could write to directly, but no luck. I'm thinking at this stage, the easiest way to connect the two would be through adding "Add To Collection" and "Remove From Collection" to Apple shortcuts on Mac, with both designed to work using the data that will be available to us when we use Shortcuts to read albums stored in Music.app.
