Allow singles too

Got it. I understand your motivation, but to my mind, listening to a single that an artist deliberately released as a non-album single is another way in which we can let the artist curate our listening -- just like we do when we listen to their original albums as albums. Longplay is amazing as the only music listening tool that lets you (mostly) do this. I'd love to be able to shuffle like this: artist original album 6 ~> artist original album 2 ~> artist non-album single 3 ~> artist original album 4. No tool lets you do this, but Longplay comes the closest so far. Pretty please!!! I recommend Longplay to everyone I meet. :-)

I saw the note: "Longplay will now include albums with one or two tracks if you have all the tracks and they exceed a minimum duration". Can I ask, what's the minimum length? Is it user-configurable? (I ask because I'm not seeing any singles or CDs in my album wall.)
Adrian Schönig
Steven Noble: It's >30 mins. It's not meant for regular singles but albums that just happen to have very few but very long songs, e.g., some classical albums.
I am considering to either make this configurable or to detect singles and mark those, so that you can filter them with a toggle similar to filtering playlists.

Adrian Schönig Yes, a user-configurable length of time would be perfect

To add to this, I have a few albums and EPs in my Apple Music library that are full album length, but they only have 2 songs and because of that they don’t show up in Longplay, while singles/EPs in my library that are shorter in duration but include >2 songs are included in my library.

This didn't make the cut for the 2.0 update, but it's on my list for a future update.

Thanks for the suggestion.
The tricky thing would be identifying those in a music library that also has lots of individual songs without track information. Sticking all songs without track information in there could end up with a ton of "singles", which would defeat what Longplay is about. Though if the songs have information such as track "1 of 1" or "1 of 2", then it'd be straightforward.
Once identified, this could work as an alternative group "Singles" under "My Library", similar to "Albums" or "Playlists" but showing albums that don't pass the minimum duration filter to put them into the "Albums" group.

Adrian Schönig: I guess seeing as you have the experience writing Longplay, you could let that be about 'playing long albums', but also, noticing that seem people felt that for them, Longplay was 'about' scrolling by randomly displayed music artwork, you could create a second app largely based on the same code called CoverShuffle or similar.

BTW, my singles don't have a track number set, unless there is a b-side, in which case the tracks are 1/2 and 2/2.
