Only show original release

Original albums versus 'Expanded' or 'Remastered'. Personally, I like listening to albums the way they were first released. For example, Pet Sounds (original in Mono), or Quadrophenia (prefer the 1973 mix to the 2013 remaster). Sometimes, a missing song or a random addition to the Library is from a Remixed/Remastered album. If there were a way to exclude remix/remastered version — by, say, a pref checkbox that says 'Original releases only' or 'Hide remasters and remixes', that would be wünderbar!

Lindy Talbot You can kind of do this already by using the search and typing
-remaster -deluxe
. It'll then only show albums which don't match those keywords, though that excludes entire albums. You can also then save that as a Smart Collection. Does that meet your requirement or do you mean to only filter specific songs while keeping the rest of the album?Lindy Talbot
Adrian SchönigHmm. No, that wasn't my thinking. I wasn't even thinking about songs; just albums (not all songs that are remastered or remixed have that in their title.) I was thinking that when Longplay opens, and shows my entire Library, I would like it NOT to show albums with 'Remastered' or 'Remixed' in the album title.
Maybe I am overthinking this: I could just remove from my Library any albums with 'Remastered' or 'Remixed' in the album title...but that would make those albums permanently unavailable, which I don't want because there are some that are of interest to me.
Let me try and use a variant of your second suggestion: save a Smart Collection of Remastered/Remixed albums ONLY and another Smart Collection of the original (non-remastered/remixed) albums. I'll get back to you here.
Thanks!
